Julia Butterfly Hill

For 738 days forest activist Julia Butterfly Hill lived 180 feet high in the canopy of an ancient redwood tree to help make the world aware of the plight of ancient forests.  Julia, with great help from steelworkers and environmentalists, successfully negotiated to permanently protect the tree and a nearly three-acre buffer zone.  She came down to a world that recognized her as a heroine and powerful voice for the environment.  Julia founded the Circle of Life Foundation in 1999.

Charlotte Ross

Charlotte Ross, who currently plays Detective Connie McDowell on NYPD Blue, starred in the Showtime series Beggars & Choosers, and received 2 Emmy nominations for her role on Days of Our Lives. Long involved with the Jane Goodall Institute, the SPCA and PETA, she co-hosted this year's Genesis Awards. Charlotte lives with 3 rescued dogs, “Taco”, “Alex” & “Katy”, her one-eyed pekinese who will accompany her to WorldFest.

 

John Savage

John Savage is best known for his acclaimed performances in The Deer Hunter and All The Right Moves, as well as his sci-fi roles in Star Trek: Voyager and Black Scorpion II. He recently played "Lydecker" who is in pursuit of Jessica Alba's "Max" on Dark Angel. John is an avid environmentalist.

 

Ed Begley, Jr.

Ed Begley, Jr. is best known for his role in the long-running TV show St. Elsewhere. He had memorable roles in the movies Cat People, The Accidental Tourist, & She Devil.  Ed is LA's #1 environmentalist. He has been driving electric cars since '70, has long lived in a solar-powered home, bikes most places or uses the bus & grows his own organic veggies. Click here for his website.

 

Alexandra Paul

Alexandra, who has starred in over two dozen feature films and television movies, is best known for her roles as Lt. Holden on Baywatch and Terri O'Brien on Melrose Place. A staunch environmentalist & anti-nuclear activist, she has written, produced & narrated documentaries on over-population, consumerism & materialism. John Salley

John Salley is the only player in the history of the NBA to be a 4 time champ, and with 3 different teams--the Pistons, Bulls & Lakers! Now retired from ball, he works as a commentator, actor & motivational speaker. John was coined “The Best Interview in Basketball” by the Sports Writer’s Association in ’89 & ’90. He & his wife Natasha founded The John Salley Raindrop Foundation in ’97, for the benefit of young people in America.

 

Casey Kasem

The most recognizable voice in radio! For 30 years he has hosted "America's Top 40." He is also involved in many social & humanitarian causes: health, environment, anti-smoking, anti-discrimination, prevention of hunger & alcohol abuse, and has worked extensively towards peace & communication in the Middle East.

 

Linda Blair

Linda has been been acting since childhood & currently has a recurring role in S Club 7 in L.A. as well as hosting Scariest Movies on Earth, both on the the Fox Family channel. She has always been a tireless supporter of numerous animal issues & causes. Her website TheAlterNet educates & offers cruelty-free alternatives. She's a partner in Pacific Coast Dog Rescue, and will be autographing her first book at WorldFest.

 

Natasha Allas

Natasha was crowned Miss World USA in Oct. '99. She has used to notoriety to help animal & children's charities. Natasha founded her own nonprofit organization, Dog Angels, which is dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs and finding them loving homes, along with raising awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering. Rikki Rockett

Drummer for the Glam hard rock band "Poison". Their first record "Look What The Cat Dragged In" went 4 times platinum. Poison has released a total of 8 records with sales of over 20 million. Jonathan Slavin

Jonathan Slavin currently stars as Byron Togler on Fox's Andy Richter Controls the Universe.  His television credits also include a starring role on Union Square as well as recurring roles on Cold Feet, Wings and Caroline in the City. In addition, he has guest starred on ER, Touched By An Angel, Dharma & Greg and NYPD Blue.  Jonathan also starred in the Broadway production of The Sisters Rosensweig, Birdsend, The Destiny of Me, The Best of Schools and Six Degrees of Separation. His film credits include Damned If You Do, Free Enterprise and Above Suspicion.  He is an active animal rescuer.
