Animal cruelty is pervasive throughout the United States and Hawaii is no exception. Intensive factory farming takes place in our own back yards, right here on Oahu.

In addition to farm animals, other animal abuse in Hawaii includes fur coats and fur trim sold at Neiman Carcass, as well as fur trim sold in many other department stores; dolphins and other sea life imprisoned for profit, away from their families, swimming in circles year after year in small concrete tanks for the mere amusement of tourists; similarly, animals in the zoo are kept in cages, thousands of miles from their natural homes; animals used for cruel and wasteful experiments at UH, when many prestigious universities have eliminated testing on animals.
