The Canadian Horse Defence Coalition
We are a collective of people and national groups that have joined forces in order to ban the slaughter of equines for human consumption in Canada, as well as the export of live horses to other countries for the same purpose.

Whistleblowers
... are invited to contact the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition regarding violations occurring during horse slaughter or transport to slaughter. Are you a retired CFIA veterinarian, an ex-slaughter house employee, a transport driver or feedlot operator with knowledge of animal abuse or other violations? Anonymity guaranteed! Please email us.

Help Make History in Canada!
Violations in the horse slaughter industry have been documented and aired--now it's time to meet the next challenge.

Your contribution of $20 or $50 or more will help the coalition to cover legal costs aimed at ensuring that governmental agencies are held legally accountable, and to stop those agencies from whitewashing the horrors of the equine slaughter industry.

Please note that CHDC is not a registered charity, and donations cannot be tax deductible. However, even the smallest contribution that you can afford will help protect the horses of Canada and the U.S. by supporting an investigative, legal and political campaign to achieve an end to the slaughter of horses. Investigative costs typically include authenticity verification of donated undercover footage as well as hiring veterinary experts to review and report upon such evidence.

Please also note that every dollar donated will go directly to horse protection. (Even the Executive Director of the coalition works strictly as a volunteer.)

Go here to donate. On behalf of the horses we fight for, we thank our caring and generous donors!

Wherever man
has left his footprint
in the long ascent from
barbarism to civilization
we will find
the hoofprint of the horse
beside it.
