Bob Brownsword
Coordinator of Relations
Bob lived his early life in West Vancouver. His
family and teachers instilled in him the value of
helping others. He knew at an early age that he
would become a teacher. He taught first in
Vancouver and then in Delta before spending 25
years on Saltspring Island as a coach, teacher and
school principal. Upon retiring to the Cowichan
Valley Bob became involved with the Shawnigan Lake
Walk, the major fund raiser for the Cowichan Family
Caregivers Support Society. Learning more about the
goals and work of CFSS, Bob became a member of
their Board of Directors. This year Bob has become
the Coordinator of Relations and brings his
background in administration and working with
groups and people to facilitating the many
functions of the Society.
