Allan Crosson
Vice-President
Allan was born in Clinton, Ontario in 1945. He
spent the first 6 years of his life in Lake
Cowichan, later moving to Cowichan Station into the
home his Father built. He met Shirley in 1965. They
have two children and 6 beautiful GrandChildren.
He, along with his Daughter and Son, owns and
operates B&L Forest Products in Chemainus. It
has been his biggest project to date, employing
local people and supporting the industry in a
respectful fashion. The 35 year success of the
business is owed to Al's unwavering integrity and
those same values instilled in his children.
Admittedly his deepest and most rewarding
passion is living a vegan lifestyle and maintaining
a life of compassion. Al has two classic cars that
bring him great enjoyment. One of them he races and
the calendar is already circled with the upcoming
races this season. He was on the Board of Directors
for the Forest Museum and is actively involved with
the Hoo Hoo (Forest Industry related) club. He has
volunteered with this club since 1978. He has been
with Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society for
the last 7 years volunteering for the Shawnigan
Lake Walk/Adventure and selling raffle tickets.
