Shannon Farahbakhsh
Former Staff
Shannon, a "prairie girl" from Saskatchewan,
moved to Vancouver Island ten years ago, settling
in Ladysmith with her husband and three children.
To the position of Community Guide in Ladysmith,
Shannon brings her sense of humour, great
organizational skills, and genuine caring. Her
motto is "I make the choice to greet each day with
joy and work with the day's challenges".
Shannon has a background as a Hospice volunteer,
and worked in a private care home for seniors in
Ladysmith for five years. She says this gave her
the freedom to honour the wise ones who contributed
so much to our society. She has also volunteered
over the years to assist children in their
spiritual development.
Shannon says with a smile "late at night when
the house has gone to bed is when I replenish my
spirit".
