Salted and partially processed horse skins - still with manes attached, stacked in the basement of Natural Valley Farms horse slaughter plant in Neudorf, Saskatchewan. Note that some of the skins still have their green USDA "Kill Only" stickers attached.

This photo is particularly disturbing as at least some of the still-attached manes were likely lovingly combed by someone at some point in the horse's life.
