A creative game played by black, taking advantage of a centralized advanced P.

1.Nf3 d5 2.c4

a reti so far but black steers it out-of-book on the next move which can be a useful strategy if it confuses the opponent
2...Nf6!?
( 2...c6 3.d4 Nf6 4.Nc3 e6 slav defense )
( 2...dxc4 3.Na3 c5 4.Nxc4 Nc6 )
( 2...d4 3.e3 Nc6 4.exd4 Nxd4 )
3.b3?!
exchanging black's dP for white's cP would seem to give white the advantage
( 3.cxd5 Nxd5 4.e4 Nf6 5.Nc3 )
3...c5 4.Bb2?!
white seems determined not to press the potential advantage given by exchanging for a center P
4...d4!? (D)

black thrusts deep into white's territory. also effective would be ...dxc4 because it would create weaknesses on the Qside despite allowing white to have P strength in the center
5.e3 Bg4
immobilizing the N
( 5...dxe3 6.fxe3 )
( 5...Nc6 6.exd4 Nxd4 7.Nxd4 cxd4 )
6.exd4 cxd4 7.h3 Bxf3 (D)

probably the best move though 7...Bh5 8.g4 Bg6 9.Nxd4 is worth considering because though this loses material, white's Pstructure is a mess
8.Qxf3 Nc6 9.d3?!
this only blocks the B's movement giving the advantage back to black
9...e5?!
certainly supports the dP, perhaps unecessarily, but can come under attack as a weak P ie 10...Qa5+ 11.Nd2 O-O-O 12.Be2 allowing R's to get on the efile so ...e6 may have been preferable
10.a3 Be7 11.b4?!
not sure what the point of that was - white should be developing
11...O-O 12.g3?!
another questionable P move, inteneding to get the B on diagonal presumably
12...e4!? (D)

very clever idea, but variation calculations from move 14. shows it doesn't quite work
13.dxe4 Nxe4 14.Bg2?
( 14.Qxe4 Re8 15.Kd1 Bxb4 16.Qf4 )
( 14.Qxe4 Bxb4+ 15.Kd1 Re8 16.Qf4 )
14...f5
( 14...Ng5 15.Qd3 Ne5 16.Qxd4 )
15.O-O a5 16.c5 axb4
( 16...d3! preventing Qb3+ 17.Rd1 axb4 18.Rxd3 Qc8 )
17.Qb3+ Kh8 18.axb4 Rxa1 19.Bxa1 b6?! (D)

now those Ps weren't really bothering anyone - there are more serious issues on the other side of the board
20.Qc4?!
and white's attention is focussed in the same place
( 20.g4 g6 ( 20...bxc5? ) 21.gxf5 gxf5 +- )
20...bxc5 21.bxc5 Qd7
now black has a clear advantage
22.Rc1 Ra8?! (D)

start of a little interlude during which black R sees fit to chase the white B off the diaagonal where it ends up protecting the vulnerable cP. instead ...Rd8 or even better ...Rb8 followed by ...Rb4 may be more effective
23.Bb2 Rb8 24.Ba3 h6?!
not sure what the point of this is, but it gives white some breathing room with 25.Qa4.
25.Re1?!
but white returns the favor allowing the attack on the Q
25...Ne5! 26.Qa2? Nd3!! (D)
