Portrait of a female wolf spider
I found this ~8mm spider hanging around on our deck in the evening. As I'd been wanting to get a portrait of one of these spiders for some time, I offered her a red leaf which she obligingly crawled onto. After exploring it thoroughly, she found a comfortable spot and settled down in the above position for quite a while. Focus stacked from four shots taken with a vintage Pentax 28mm lens reversed on a full set of extension tubes.
