Winter cutworm

The larvae of the Large Yellow Underwing moth (Noctua pronuba), winter cutworms are a common sight here during the colder months. They come out to feed whenever there is a warm spell. This one was fairly large at 6cm or so in length. Taken using a Tamron 90mm macro lens.
