Callobius severus male
One of the larger males I've seen so far, this fellow was climbing up the side of our chimney, probably searching for a mate. The males can often be seen wandering about, poking into crevices here and there where a female might be likely to make a home. He's missing a palp - perhaps from a conflict with another male?
